Balwadi

Save the Children India’s Balwadis provide pre-school education to underprivileged toddlers in 40 communities across Mumbai giving them a strong start to a bright future.

Dhvani

The Dhvani project provides vital diagnosis and interventions for young children with hearing and speech problems. These children are mostly left out of mainstream society and Dhvani’s work helps these children have a chance at a normal life.

Save Our Sisters

Save Our Sisters (SOS) is an initiative of Save the Children India that works to prevent the trafficking of young girls and women for purposes of commercial sexual exploitation. SOS helps these victims turn their life around and live with dignity.

The Special Care Center

The Special Care Center provides direction and meaning to the lives of underprivileged children with hearing and mental disabilities. The children are from underprivileged homes and for their families, the center is a lifeline of support that they have come to depend on.

Vocational Training

Save the Children India’s vocational training helps women to become self-sufficient by providing skills such as tailoring, embroidery, non-formal education and nutrition. When women contribute to them family income it earns them a place of respect and pride in their families and in the community.
